Miss World Contest 2007A total of 106 countries are sending representatives for the Miss World Contest 2007. This time roud there would be no continental zones to select the semi – finalists. Instead, all 106 contestants will try for the 10 semi finalists spots. Winners of the sub – contests - Beach Beauty, Beauty With A Purpose, Sports, Talent, and Top Model contests, will grab the other five places.
About the city 
Sanya is a small city in China and caught the world's attention when it first hosted the Miss World contest in 2003. The city then went on to host the 2004 and also the 2005 edition of the pageant. Yet again the city is all set to host the prestigious beauty contest. Girls from over 100 countries reach Sanya to be crowned the most besutiful girl on the planet. However, the city holds a lot of treasure – culture wise and also in the aesthetic sense. The city has a 108 meter high Buddhist statue of Guanyin. It is one of the tallest statues in the world. The 7.5 km long Yalong Beach is another attraction.
Sanya developed into a holiday destination as a relaxing and peaceful getaway from Hong Kong. Major attraction in Sanya include - Cape Tian-Ya-Hai-Jiao ( The end of sea and sky )
