Sarah Jane Dias – the lovely lady who will represent India at the Miss World pageant is not new to the world of glamour. She is a media professional in the sense that she has been associated with it for a long time. Sarah is a model and a former VJ. Beauty contests are not new to Sarah. She had earlier won the Miss India Oman title in 1997. A Mumbai girl, Sarah was trained in modelling by Atul Kelkar. Once she entered the industry, it was no looking back for the damsel. Once she started hosting television shows, Sarah became quite famous with the youngsters. Like any other girl who enters the glamour field, Sarah too dreamt of being crowned Miss India. Her dream was fulfilled when she was named 'Miss India World, 2007. She now has a responsibilty to fulfill – to bring back the Miss World crown to India. And if Sarah succeeds in doing so, the crown would be coming to India after a hiatus of seven years. Sarah feels that oodles of confidence is the main ingredient needed to make a Miss World. And if her words are to be believed, it would be little wonder if Sarah Jane Dias wins the crown.
